The Impact of Avatar Medical on Preoperative Planning in Pelvic Sarcoma Surgery

Check out our latest publication! This time with Rush University in the Journal of Orthopaedics: the impact of virtual reality (with Avatar Medical) on surgery planning for pelvic bone sarcoma cases.

In this retrospective study, surgeons could delineate tumor borders in 67% of all cases (compared to 0% when using a traditional 2D viewer) and would have changed their surgical strategy 44% of the time after using our technology.

As shown in our previous publications, this study concludes that surgeons using Avatar Medical had an increased understanding of the tumor environment and ability to communicate with patients.
